Kering, a French luxury fashion brand, has decided to stop using fur. The group will stop using animal fur in its collections starting with Fall 2022. Since Gucci took this step in 2017, the group’s houses have all taken it, including Balenciaga and Bottega Veneta. Alexander McQueen was also included.

“Kering has been leading the way in sustainability for many years. We are guided by an unbreakable vision of luxury, which is based on the highest social and environmental standards and values. Our Group has shown its commitment to improving practices in its supply chain, and within the luxury industry as a whole, when it comes to animal protection. It is time to move forward and stop using fur in our collections. Luxury has to adapt as the world, our clients and ourselves have changed,” Francois Henri Pinault said in a press release.
